To be honest, I haven’t made this dish. But the ingredients seem right. It’s wonderful as chip dip. But I found it easier to get it from the stores (Safeway, Trader Joe’s).
- 2 cans jalapeno bean dip
- 3-4 ripe avocados
- salt and pepper to taste
- lemon juice to taste
- 1 large carton sour cream
- 1 package taco seasoning mix
- 3 fresh ripe tomatoes
- 1 large bunch green onions
- 1 small bottle mild taco sauce
- 1 small bottle hot taco sauce
- 8 oz or more grated sharp Cheddar cheese and Montery Jack cheese
Spread 1 layer bean dip in medium to large casserole dish
Add salt, pepper, lemon juice to mashed avocadoes. Spread on top of bean.
Mix sour cream and 1 pkg taco seasoning mix. Spread on top of avocado.
Chop onions and tomato. Mix with taco suace. Spread over above ingredients.
Top with cheese.
Serve cold with taco chips, or warm (350 degrees overn till cheese melts)
Serves about 14 people
