I guess all stores are open on New Year’s day. Eric wanted the thịt luộc chấm mắm. It’s the side pork (meat from the side of the pork) , boiled, sliced, and served with simmered fish sauce and fresh vegetables. Tina is not too crazy about this dish, because of the skin and thin layer of fat.
So we had that for dinner. Thit heo luôc, mắm, rau sống, canh bi’ đao. And rice of course.
It’s a light dinner, very satisfying, with no greasy after taste. Good for the waist too …
