Of course people don’t change. The procrastinating Eric will leave Friday instead. He thought eventually leaving home will be easier, but it’s not. We went out again today. I wanted to go to the italian place in Fremont. But Eric said he just had Mom’s pasta, and wanted something else. So we settled for Thai.
We’ve known about Krung Thai since we first moved up here, when they were in that dump on San Carlos on the other side of Valley Fair. Now there is 2 Krung Thai on Winchester. The food is still as good as before. I remember some reviews saying they offer the best thai food in North CA.
We ordered:
- Chicken Sate (excellent, expecially the chunky peanut sauce),
- Beef Larb (not good),
- Stuffed Chicken Wings (so-so. I like the vietnamese version better. Less dry),
- Tom Yum Goong in Hot Pot ($18 !! – too much for 4 people. Next time we’ll just order the large size)
- Krung Thai Tofu (I like this dish – it’s deep-fried tofu served with seafood sauce. It night be bland, but I like it)
- Pad Thai (the best)
- Green Curry Chicken
We did ordered too much. Well, I did. ..So we took some home and had it for lunch the next day.
I ordered a glass of Gerwurtminer. Nothing exceptional since it’s a no name wine. Probably came from a big jug.
