My Ten Commandments

I need a method to keep myself in place, in shape, in control, living life at best. Hence, the ten commandments. They’re in no special orders. No one item is at a higher hierarchy than the other. At the end of everyday, I’ll do an inventory of the day to see how well my Bible works for me. The rewards? Go to Starbucks in the evening!

  1. Wake up before 7AM (7:10AM doesn’t count)
  2. Be myself
  3. Exercise for 30 minutes (any kind. Walking, stretching, yoga, treadmill…)
  4. Connect with a new person (with a smile, a compliment, an expression of love…)
  5. Take myself lightly (ie, let it go)
  6. Read one article on personal development (or the whole book …)
  7. Do the best given what I have
  8. Be honest and fair
  9. Enjoy the journey
  10. Place Love above all

Voila! Not as good as Moses’ Ten Commandments. But it will do for me. And I own the rights to modify any of them as I see fit!

What principles do you live by?

  5. There should only be one “myself”. Your many “myself” are just faces, facades that you put up, that you hide behind, so people can’t see the real you.
You can’t wake me up. I know ways to avoid phone calls! Unless you sleep next to me ;)
    Thương mà! Thương mà!

  6. Now I do understand why you insisted on bying a webcam!
Chi Hoa, how to be “myself” since I don’t know which “myself” I should be?
And..what about the idea of helping to wake you up exactly at 6.59 am. I can do that but what is the reward?
