Just like Hung can have a bowl of Pho at any time, Eric would have Sushi. Sushi when he’s on a diet. Sushi when he needs to gain weight. Anytime. Everytime.

Expect a long wait! Like 45 minutes. We went there a couple times with the family and Jessica, Amanda. I like the slated walls. It’s a japanese fusion place. It’s where I had my first korean sake cocktail. Forgot the damn name. 11/20/2006.

It’s a sushi place operated by Koreans. We went there because we ran out of ideas on where to eat, and Eric wanted sushi. They only serve certain cocktails when busy. The food was plentiful. Price is decent considering the amount of food served. Each time we went there, we ended up ordering bento or combo dishes. So I dont know about their sushi. I dont recall the food being good enough for a return. Inside decor is modern. Service very indifferent, ie, they will take the order, bring the food, give you the tab. No more. 1/30/2007.

It’s right around the corner, yet we never even knew about it. It’s hidden in the corner of the small shopping strip, behind Taco Bell. Inside is very cozy. Service efficient, hot
towels, cute sushi chef :) I had the Combination with Saba, Sashimi, and Gingered Beef. Saba was fresh, smoked. Sashimi excellent with wasabi. Careful with their wasabi. Stronger than most places. Even Eric almost choked on it. Tina had the Teriyaki Chicken, and commented that it tasted like Kentucky Fried Chicken. The chicken was battered and deep-fried, with a layer of Teriyaki sauce on top. 6/30/2007.

Yup yup yup! That’s 9, as in almost 10, stars. The place is tiny, and so cozy. The waitresses are friendly as if they’ve known you before. And the food is purrrr-fect.
Friday night, I didn’t want to cook, and Tina wanted to eat dinner so she can go hang out with friends afterwards. Off to Satomi then. Tina was in a bad mood because she’s not allowed to go camping. We had to wait for 20 minutes, but it’s expected on a friday evening. And I was praying to just let me have a peaceful meal. We started out with endamame, which tastes fresh and crunchy (as opposed to soggy and soft). I was the only one eating it. Fine with me. We ordered the #1 Bento, which consists of Teriyaki Chicken, Tempura, and Gyoza. The Teriyaki chicken was one of the best I’ve tasted. The chicken was grilled, then sauce poured on top. No skin or fat layer. Tina ordered Lion King, which is an extended version of California Roll, with salmon draping over and grilled, then mayonnaise drizzled on top. She loved it. Also had the Satomi Roll, which is California Roll lighly deep-fried. I never had this version before. It wasn’t oily, just slightly crunchy on the outside. Everything (food and service) was so great that it broke Tina’s bad mood tonight. She was all happy and laughing as we left the place. I have to take Eric here when he comes home. This place definitely beats all the sushi places we’ve gone to. It’s a treasure, and I won’t post it in other review sites. Wanna keep it all to myself! hehe!
Take 680 North, exit Thornton, past Fremont, and make a U at the 2nd or 3rd intersection. It’s in the small strip on the left. 07/06/2007.
