This overwhelming feeling of happiness aches every cell of my body and brought tears to my eyes. Đời xin có nhau dài trong mãi sau … Love. I don’t normally like to use that 4-letter word. It means a lot and it also means nothing. But how do I describe this feeling that I’m afraid will not last?
We tend to treasure things that are lost or will not last. Which means we either live in the past or in the future. What about the present? The Now? Are we doing our best to heighten the relationship, are we showing (not just telling) our true feelings to the ones we love? Or do we allow our ego and bring-up prevent us from displaying and manifesting our feelings?
Does happiness happen, or has to be pursued? Most of us go through life searching for it. We stray from the norm, we reach the extremes, we do the impossible and unthinkable to take us to the next step, hoping to find the ultimate goal. As Ulysses said, happiness is to cultivate your own backyard. It’s always there, if we would only see it.
I enjoy the paradox of life. It’s in the way I talk, I dress, I think. It’s a mind game that forces me to remember that life is a 2-faced coin. Happiness is both ephemeral and permanent. Ta mất nhau hôm qua, ta tìm nhau hôm nay …(We lost each other yesterday, we found each other today).
