New Year Resolution 2008 belated

Late in forming my New Year resolutions again. Therefore this year’s biggest resolution of mine will be to not procrastinate. I did think of the resolutions on the first day of the year. And because I thought I was so smart, I told myself I would remember to write the list later that day. And then Alzheimer hit me until today!

Looking back at 2007, I have:

  • Made new friends and formed new wonderful relationships
  • Finally contacted old friends after much debatement. I’m glad to have misunderstandings explained, and sad to see they happened in the first place. Regrets, now acceptance.
  • Stayed in touch with my sibblings. After all, blood is thicker than water. My youngest sister is becoming my closest friend and confidante despite our age gap.
  • Changed jobs. I’ve decided not to become stagnant, to continuously learn and grow at work as well in relationship. I can think of the metaphore of the frog sitting in a pot of water. He’s so happy to sit in the water. The frog gets comfortable and slowly adjusted to the temperature as the water gets warmer. And warmer. And when the water gets unbearably hot, it was too late for the frog to jump out. He has no more strength, and the lid is already in place. Stagnancy is what slowly kills a person.
  • Shed off some fat!!!! Yahoooo!!!! Down to 116 lbs. Better than I could imagine for the last few years.

Looking forward to 2008:

  • Travel more often. Life is short, I need to go and see and live.
  • Enjoy the NOW. Whether at work, on the phone, in the taxi, blogging, cooking, walking, driving, … Forget the past.
  • Love everything, and believe in it. Look for the beauty in things and people.
