I think my health is not improving. It’s in fact sliding. The last few weeks have been hectic and stressful. We went to Seattle to visit a dying aunt and meet up with a newfound cousin. 3 days later, we drove down to San Diego for Hung’s high-school reunion. 3 nights, partying and drinking in a row. I ended up in the UCSD ER on Saturday night. Sunday afternoon, went to see Mom for a couple of hours, then rushed back to Santa Ana for another party…
Back to Fremont, it was preparation for Tina’s big 21st birthday party. This thing had been on my mind for a month and I’m so glad it’s over. We had 60+ kids at the house, eating, drinking, playing Ping Balls, screaming, … Beer and drinks and food spilled all over. The place looked like a sorority house. And the cleaning afterwards ! It took 4 people, crawling on the floor to hand scrub it. Total times? 6! I’m sure glad the kids turn 21 only once. What a nightmare!
And I’m sitting here now, not knowing what to do with the next set of guests visiting from France. I don’t know which room to put them in. The guest room is so full of Hung’s stuff you can’t even walk through the mess.
I need a break badly. Lately, I’ve been thinking that lying in the hospital bed might be a good vacation for me.
