Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m a voracious reader. I read when I surf the Net, I read when watching TV, I read while waiting at Doctor’s office, I read at the beach, I read before bed, I read when I wake up, I read drinking coffee, I read having dinner, and of course I read in bathrooms. And I don’t read fictions. Very rarely, and only very selective books that have to be very highly and insistently recommended by ….. who else but my favorite son!!!
My reading subjects vary widely. From “How To Simplify Your Life” to “How to Make The Most in Real Estate Investment”. Whatever piques my interest at the moment. But there are some subjects that I keep returning to, such as Health, Yoga, Cookbooks, Life Philosophy … I go to the library at least 2-3 times a week, and always have about 20 borrowed books lying on the floor in my bedroom. I used to collect books and subscribe to magazines, but have gotten cheap lately. So now I borrow books and magazines from the library, and take pictures of the articles that catch my interest. When I read something interesting, I like to highlight the writing or use stickies on the page. I can’t with library books. Hence, a new category of “Reading” was created for my blog. This way, I can always go back and remember the interesting points.
This will require lotsa discipline, since sometimes I read more than 1 book a day. Which means I need to write immediately after I’m done with a book, or even while reading it. But bear in mind, I only record tips and tricks that I find interesting or beneficial to me.
I’m getting warmer to this idea. It’ll keep my mind focused, which is good for me during this time, and also is a good brain exercise.
